             Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are government sponsored housing enterprises that have received more than $170 billion in taxpayer-provided bailout funding since entering into Federal conservatorships in September 2008.  

            The House Financial Services Committee, which Bachus chairs, will consider his legislation to suspend the pay packages during a meeting on Tuesday.
